The cross in itself is a universal symbol of the Christian faith. The simple yet beautiful design of the layered wood Trinity Cross takes the symbolism to a deeper level, by signifying the fundamental Christian doctrine of the Holy Trinity; God existing in a single essence but made up of three personas; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Each with it’s own distinct qualities and characteristics but existing together as one. Each represented in the Trinity Cross by a different wood species. The Father represented by the Canarywood which forms the foundation and outer layers of the cross. The Son who gave his life as an atoning sacrifice so that we might have a relationship with the Father, represented by the beautiful Padauk central cross. The Holy Spirit represented by the light-colored Maple that beautifully compliments the other two species.

Construction:

The Trinity Layered Cross is constructed from 23 individual cut and sanded pieces. These are then assembled by hand and finished with Mimwax clear satin finish wipe-on polyurethane. Each cross is provided with a “keyhole” insert installed on the back so that it can hang secure and flat on the wall. Constructed with a combination of three separate wood species specifically chosen to provide simple beauty with their natural grains and color.
Hang it in a prominent location in your home where it can become a conversation starter allowing you the opportunity to discuss your faith with visitors or place it in a more private area where you can contemplate the deep significance of the ideas it symbolizes during your personal quite times.
